Enid's is owned and operated by Enid Seal who has been helping cancer patients feel better about their appearance for almost twenty-five years. Her interest in helping started after a girlfriend had to go to a department store to purchase a wig. Enid went with her and was appalled at the lack of selection and care her friend received.
She decided then and there she was going to make a difference.
Enid spent the next fourteen years working in a wig shop. Always wanting to improve and do more for her clientele, Enid decided to open her own shop in 1996.
"I wanted to offer the greatest selection of natural looking "hair" in the latest styles and colors. I wanted to spend more time with my clients and give them the best service in a caring and discreet environment. I love what I do. Nothing is more rewarding to me then when I help people feel better about themselves."
Enid's grew quickly into a one of a kind boutique offering convenient one stop shopping for cancer patients.
Enid was for years a certified volunteer for the American Cancer Society's "Look good, Feel Better" program conducting meetings that explain make-up techniques, options in wigs and other alternatives.
In 2001, Enid herself was diagnosed with breast cancer and choose to have a double mastectomy. Her chemotherapy advanced with very few complications and she was able to continue to work throughout her treatments. " I think wanting to be there for my clients really helped me through it all."
Now, along with years of professional knowledge, she is able to add her personal experience to inspire women to fight, survive and look their best while doing it.
